Actor Bio
Max Claus is an actor based in San Jose and Santa Cruz California with a particular emphasis on Shakespeare's canon, having appeared in lead and supporting roles.

In 2014, he became a member of American Youth Shakespeare. With them, he has appeared in many productions, including Julius Caesar, A Christmas Carol, A Comedy of Errors, A Winter's Tale, and The Tempest, where he played Caesar, Ebeneezer Scrooge, Dromio of Ephesus, Polixenes, and Ariel, respectively.
He is currently in his third year at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he is earning a BA in Theater Arts. He has appeared in two productions with UCSC, both of which took place over Zoom: Christmas Carol 2: Scrooge Strikes Back, directed by Danny Scheie, in which he played Sigmund Freud and Mac the Knife, and A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which he played Puck. His love of Shakespeare led him to earn a Pass with Distinction on the London Academy of Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) Performing Shakespeare Exam. He sings and plays both the guitar and the piano, and is fluent in German.
